Hello Internets!

Who am I? Your average 33-year-old stay-at-home-mom. In a former life I was an attorney. My husband, J, and I just celebrated our three year anniversary, and we have a six-month-old daughter, C. She is the light of my life. She also refuses to nap anywhere but in my arms (oh, watch out kiddo, you are sooooo due for some Ferberization) and that gives me lots of time to read blogs where people share mundane details of their lives – so I thought, hey, I've got mundane details too! I should start sharing! Hop on this blog bandwagon! There's a good chance I will be the most boring blogger ever so if that happens, give me a virtual blow to the head!

I'm starting this blog so I have a place to record what I'm thinking about these days. Transitioning from just J and I to a family of three has been harder than I ever thought it would be. Most days, it's wonderful - but there are still the sucky ones, and I suspect that there always will be. Such is life.

With any luck I'll keep posting here. I'm the type of person who always tried to keep a diary, and would find a beautiful journal to write in. For the first few days, I dutifully wrote beautiful entries with a nice pen before going to sleep. On the third or fourth day, the entry became one or two sentences. By the sixth day, I had completely stopped. Same goes for keeping a journal while traveling. We'll see what happens.
